I will get rid of your fat FOR EVER - Marisa's ten-step cure for tubbies

DIET guru Marisa Peer says she can cure fatties forever. The psychologist, who has worked on ITV's Celebrity Fit Club, has devised a ten-step plan to change attitudes to food for good. Marisa's Get Thin Stay Thin programme is already the talk of the slimming industry.

TV companies and publishers are desperate to get their hands on the formula that will consign diet books to the dustbin.
And behavioural expert Marisa, who developed the programme over 20 years, is confident it works for everyone. She said: "It is all about changing people from the inside out. "It is two-fold. It will absolutely guarantee they get the weight off but also they'll never put it back on. "That's why it's called Get Thin Stay Thin.
"It's how to keep it off forever - that's a big part of this programme. "Everyone who has come to me with the determination to lose weight has been successful."
Marisa added: "The most important thing is to understand why people are over-eating in the first place.
"There are four different types of over-eaters.
"People are either emotional, addictive, habitual or ignorant over-eaters. "The biggest group by far are the emotional over-eaters.
"They eat whether they're happy or sad.
"All feelings start in the stomach, so with any emotion they experience they turn to food. This group is also the hardest to cure because food alters their mood.
"It makes them feel better. But once this is identified there is no reason why they can't be cured."
Marisa, who is based in South-West London, lists rock stars, royalty, actors and footballers among her clients. She has worked with Wigan Athletic in their extraordinary first season in the Premiership. And Marisa is so confident of her success, she is giving five Daily Star Sunday readers the chance to put her to the test for free by losing weight permanently.
She said: "I will change their whole belief system.
"They will not only lose the weight but they'll keep it off forever.
"People have come to me who've tried everything else.
"I truly believe over the past 20 years I've developed a cure for obesity and fatness in general.
"There are more obese people in this country than ever before.
"We've also got more gyms and healthy food stores but this is clearly not solving the problem."
Marisa says dieting and exercising are not good enough to keep weight off.
"People have to change their belief system," she added.
"For every action there is a thought process behind it. What I do is tackle that thought process.
She explained: "One of my steps focuses on how to end all cravings forever. What I do is to look at what a person craves. This can be anything from carbohydrates to sugar.
"That person will then be shown how to get rid of their particular craving.
"Another step is how to keep it off forever.
"That's really important because getting it off can be hard - but it's much harder to keep it off.
"Otherwise we wouldn't have so many yo-yo dieters.
"To keep the weight off we focus on how a habit of thought becomes a habit of action.
"And if you just keep changing the habit of action the thought will still be there.
"When you take away a habit of action - like removing chocolate from a person's diet - that person may still believe chocolate cheers them up or offers them some sort of comfort.
"So it really is all about changing a person's belief system.
"Unless you run your brain it ends up running you."

CASE STUDY ONE
Helen McNallen Lost 4 stone

HELEN McNallen's weight gain left her suffering depression and the former stockbroker was referred to Marisa by her doctor after ballooning to nearly 14 stones. She said: "I met Marisa more than two-and-a-half years ago and in that time I've lost four stones.

"The great thing about her technique is that it's easy to do and the weight stays off. I don't deny myself the odd treat but my whole thought process behind eating changed.

"I had an addiction to sweet and sugary foods which Marisa identified. It was getting to the point where I was baking myself a chocolate cake daily and God knows how many doughnuts I was munching.

"I was extremely unhappy and at the end of my tether." Marisa transformed her life so much that the Edinburgh-born Helen is now following her dream of setting up a chain of cafés across Europe. Now weighing a healthy 10 stones, single Helen, 38, added: "I left my job recently in the City and it was thanks to Marisa I had the confidence to do that.

"When I was fat I didn't believe in myself and now I do. "I really hope other people who have suffered like I have get the opportunity to get help from Marisa because her technique really does work. It is an amazing cure."

CASE STUDY TWO
Jacqueline Herbert Lost 3 stone

LOSING three stones changed Jacqueline Herbert's life completely. The busy working mum only went to see Marisa in January this year. The 36-year-old said: "I must admit I was a bit sceptical at first. Over the years I've tried everything from WeightWatchers to the Atkins Diet. "Marisa spotted that I was an habitual eater. When I was a little girl my father would insist I ate everything.

"He'd tell me that there were children starving in Africa and that I must eat all my food. It's funny because when I think about it, me being fat is not helping the starving. But that's how I behaved for years. "I would always eat everything that was put in front of me. Marisa helped me to change my whole belief system and now I am in control of what I eat. Food is no longer controlling me. It is an amazing formula."

Jacqueline, who lives with husband John and daughter Morgan, seven, in Wickford, Essex, weighed over 14 stones when she had her first session with Marisa on January 13. She said: "I've never felt so good about myself and it doesn't even feel as though I'm on a diet."
